Mbizo Chirasha

I am an internationally acclaimed performance poet, writer and creative projects consultant. I have worked as a guest poet in Namibia, for a Haiti presidential fundraising project. I have also been poet in residence at the United Nations Information Centre, Zimbabwe from 2001-2008.

I founded 'Writers Caravan' - a creative writing initiative in Zimbabwe. I have also been the founder of Amateur Poetry Conference and Africa Drums Poetry Festival amongst other projects.

I am a widely anthologised poet, published in more than 35 journals, magazines and anthologies around the world. I have attended more than 30 writing skills workshops and editorial skills courses with the Budding Writers' Association of Zimbabwe and have worked with a number of organisations around Africa and other parts of the world. I've worked as an advisor, consultant, co-ordinator, resident writer/poet and as an editor.
