Recently we have been supporting and working with Channel 4 on a poetry competition called Random. Channel 4 launched this competition based on the Spoken Word poetry form to support the TV show 'Random' which is being aired on 23rd August 2011. The winning poet will have the exciting opportunity to have their piece performed on Channel 4 after the show.
Channel 4 received over 400 entries for this great competition. On the 8th August Forward Poetry and Channel 4 came together to pick the top 20, which they found challenging but rewarding as there were many great pieces submitted. Mark Grist, our poet in residence, was part of the judging team who decided on the winner!
