As the nights draw in the time has come for all that is sinister and scary to emerge from the darkness, and we want your poetry on all that is petrifying. Your poem could be about ghosts and ghouls and the supernatural or the more earthly, but no less terrifying, horrors in human form. So dig into the darkest recesses of your imagination and send us a poem that will leave us trembling with fear.

Rules

Open to all / one entry to each theme per person / no line limit (within reason!) / free to enter / no restrictions on poetic style or form / include your name and postal address (and your age if under 18).

How to Enter

Online: you can upload your entry directly to us using our online upload page. Remember to fill in all fields.

Email: you can email your poem to inbox@forwardpoetry.co.uk including your name and address.
Make sure you include which theme you’re entering in the subject line.
