Bards at Blidworth

Event Description: Encouraging poets at all stages to write poetry. Aims: To encourage people to write and enjoy poetry, to give a forum for people to share their poems, to share news of where to submit poems, to share details of poetry competitions, to produce a yearly poetry anthology of member's work and to include prizewinners of the yearly competition, to invite visiting poets to share their work or run workshops and to invite visiting speakers to give talks.

Speechmotion

Event Details: Call for work! - SpeechMotion provides filmmakers, poets and performers, with a platform to preview their work via the open mic/screen in Shoreditch's, The Horse and Groom Bar. This exciting addition to the neighborhood's cultural calendar will run every last Tuesday of the month and will culminate in SpeechMotion's headlining talent. So, if you fancy yourself a poet, storyteller, performer or filmmaker (or all of these), SpeechMotion is a fantastic opportunity to present your work.
