Somewhere on some road on the south-side
I saw her celebrate summer
Silently, she sifted through sensual scenery
Secretly sounding the shapes with her mouth
And sipping slowly from her soft bitten lip
She slipped seamlessly between
Silk-laced vowels
And ruffled rose peppered sheets
Stifled by Sunken sunsets
Startled by the sun-drenched streets
Shock me she said
I saw her say
Quickly, swiftly
Don’t slip past me
I sense your surrender
Succumb sweet boy
For it is I
Your summer joy
Season upon season
And autumn too
You shall have me
For I wish to share my secret life with you
Love struck by a muse
Suffice to say
Is the deadliest of all virtues
The haunting of one’s soul
The echo
The reflection
The bribery of Love
… bubbles up
And springs un-possessed from the Poet’s mouth
| The use of alliteration here is mind-blowing. This is superb. Welcome to FP, I hope you're here to stay :) DGD by datguydere 29/08/12 (0:02) (report this comment) | |
| There is a beautiful jigsaw here. I love each piece and long to see the whole, but am content with each jewel. I am impressed. David by davidboswell 28/08/12 (20:42) (report this comment) | |
