Fear

Out that door she ran

from fear....

Into the dark she

went.

Stumbling along the narrow path

above the cliffs.

Her heart beating faster...

as she made her escape.

The dogs barked

as their master sent

them on their way.

Crashing through the

bushes...

Their howls grew closer still.

Blindly running on...

Hearing the yells in the background.

Now she has nowhere to

go...

They circle around her,

teeth showing.

Stepping back she

losing her balance...

into the sea below

she plunged.

Screaming in terror

as she faces her fate.

They find her

hours later...

amongst the sharp rocks,

the waves of the sea

splashing against her

cold limp  body.

I have made a start on the story and it is coming along nicely, but I must warn that this story is not a happy one mind you ,as you can tell from the poem above it does not have a happy ending.

I love the imagery here, very noire feeling to it, especially the ending. The whole thing played in black and white in my mind as I read. :)
