Because You Are You

I love you, not because the
beauty you possess, can take
my breath away.
I love you, not because your
scent makes every day a
summers day.
I love you, not because your
diamond eyes can hold me
in warm embrace.
I love you, not because your
gentle curves look pretty
dressed in lace.

I don’t know why I love you
but I know my love is true.
So, for now and ever and
always, there will only ever
be you.
