Power And The People

Is it the power for which we all yearn?

Or is power something we should earn?

What is that they mean when they need power?

Is the expectations something to make people cower?

The bullies when we were at school

What was it that they thought they should rule?

The need to cause to others so much strife,

Was it that something was missing in their own life?

Dictators again what is it that they seek?

To inflict so much pain upon the weak.

Is their a reason inside their minds?

Thye truth all lost and the reasons no one finds.

Power for them it would seem is the gain,

to bring so much misery and pain.

How is it possible that we reach this state?

Why can't it be stopped before it is too late?

Power and leadership go hand in hand,

this is something we all must understand.

If people have to suffer to meet this goal,

then power and leadership means nothing at all.
